#hertshalf this morning. A brilliantly organised & marshalled event on a tough course with some decent inclines. My aim was to improve on my 1:25:30 time of last year. I actually managed a new PB of 1:19:40 & 9th place so I’m over the moon!! . Huge thanks to all the organisers & volunteers today. . Let’s be honest … gutted missed sub 2 hours by 5 seconds #hertshalf . However before the race my realistic target was sub 2 hours 15 mins,as I knew the route was so undulating and hilly. Plus the nerve damage I have from my Chemo , even 3 years later, causes me to feel very cold in my hands and feet, plus crampy when it is so cold outside – so overall very happy with myself but those 5 seconds lost … ugh !!!! At least got next Half in 2 weeks and I go again .. 😀
