Travel
By Car
Please ensure you give yourself as much time as possible to travel to the event and aim to arrive at the car park in good time to avoid queues or delays coming into the venue.
Knebworth House & Park can be accessed directly from the Junction 7 roundabout of the A1(M) motorway at Stevenage South, 29 miles north of London.
There are signs on both carriageways of the motorway. If you are using a sat nav please use the postcode of the Stevenage Novotel at Junction 7 – SG1 2AX, not the Knebworth House postcode.
There will be plenty of FREE parking available for all runners and spectators adjacent to the event village.
Train
The nearest rail station is Stevenage, two miles from Knebworth Park. There is a taxi rank at the station. Non-stop Inter-city and local services run to Stevenage station from London’s Kings Cross station around every 30 minutes. There are also frequent Inter-City connections on the East Coast main line from Cambridge, York, Leeds, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
More information is available at www.tfl.gov.uk.
Toilets
For this event we will use portable toilets. If you live locally we recommend using toilets at home. For the Half Marathon, there will also be toilets at the 8 mile point on the course.
Hygiene Stations
There will be multiple hygiene stations around the event village and start/finish area for all participants to use throughout the event. These will have hand sanitiser, tissue and bins for the disposal of any tissue or litter.
Baggage
Please limit the number of belongings you bring to the event. The car park is located next to the start and finish line and we therefore recommend leaving any belongings in your car.
There will be an informal self-service bag drop area within the event village for runners who need it. This is in order to reduce contact between runners and staff.
During the race
There will be marshals all around the course as well as mile markers for the half marathon and KM markers for the 10k.
You can see the course maps HERE.
Spitting and nasal clearance during the race is NOT permitted.
Refreshments
There will be water at the 3.5, 8.5, & 11 mile points for the Half Marathon and 6km point for the 10k. There will also be water available at the finish. Please bring your own water to the event to avoid congestion on the course. We recommend staying hydrated in the lead up to the event.
Spectators
Spectators are welcome to come along and support runners.
After the race
Do NOT stop within the finish area. Please continue through the finish until you pass the medals and are in an open space.
There will be sealed ACTIPH water bottles at the finish for each runner to collect along with your medal, Love Corn, and Kind Snack bar which will be laid out on tables for you to help yourself.
Good Luck with the run from Team ACTIPH. ACTIPH Water is the UK’s first alkaline ionised bottled water with the highest pH in Europe.
